We who are in A.A. came because we finally gave up trying to control our drinking. We still hated to admit that we could never drink safely. Then we heard from other A.A. members that we were sick. (We thought so for years!) We found out that many people suffered from the same feelings of guilt and loneliness and hopelessness that we did. We found out that we had these feelings because we had the disease of alcoholism.

AA HOTLINE COMMITTEE FORMATION
Dear Intergroup Representatives,Thank you for voting in favor to create the new Hotline Committee! We are very excited to get started!
Here is the proposal.
Please see the attached flyer for the upcoming Hotline Committee Formation Meeting. This is the meeting where we will be electing Hotline Committee officers (i.e. Captains, Call Forwarding Persons, Secretary, Treasurer, and Chair.) Please announce and pass the flyer around to your groups. In order to make this work, we need as many people as possible to show up.
We are also pleased to announce that there will be a table representing the new Hotline Committee at Unity Day on June 12 at the Men's Healing Place!
Also, a reminder that next month at the Intergroup Council Meeting on June 24, the Intergroup Reps will be pulling raffle dates and going back to their groups with sign-up sheets. During the month of July, the groups need to gather volunteer names and numbers and contact their respective Captains before the next Intergroup Council meeting on July 29.
That means each group needs to: . elect a Group Hotline Coordinator that will handle the responsibilities of that commitment only. or . decide if the Group Hotline Coordinator responsibilities will be combined with their Intergroup Reps current responsibilities.
